Rashid Khan took six wickets for 48 while Captain Stanikzai scored 101 off 90 balls and Dawlat Zadran got 52/3 to ensure second victory for Afghanistan in five ODI match series.
Opted to bat first winning the toss the hosts set their highest total for Ireland in ODI history, posting 338 runs their mandatory 50 overs.
Opener Mohammad Shahzad scored 63 off 43 balls while Rahmat Shah hit 68 off 70 balls.
In chase of the target Ireland collapsed again who had looked dominant for a considerable portion of the match, paid the price for making another mess of what should have been their first win in the series.
The visitors slid drastically to be bowled out for 304 as Afghanistan took a 2-0 lead in the series in Greater Noida of India.
Despite losing the game Paul Stirling of Ireland named man of the match after taking six wickets and scoring 95 runs.
The sides will play their third match on Sunday, March 19 at the same venue where previous matches were played.
